The International Casual Furnishings Association reports that they are monitoring the changing conditions of the coronavirus with respect to the ICFA Preview Show and Casual Market Chicago scheduled later this year. No changes to the planned event dates are being made at this time.
“ICFA is firmly committed to the health and safety of its members along with other professionals that contribute to the hosting of these two trade shows at theMART in Chicago,” stated Joe Pucci, President of Great Gatherings and chairman of the board, following a conference call of the ICFA Executive Committee last Friday.
Pucci noted that the leadership group intends to closely examine the evolving situation as a means of preparing for possible disruption of the business cycle that would affect its retailer, manufacturer, sales representative and industry supplier members. “We recognize that business decisions related to product development processes will be critical in coming weeks for many companies, and we are committed to taking prudent steps to adjust the current timetable, if needed, no later than May 15.”
ICFA and theMART in Chicago are co-sponsors of the annual trade events that draw together all facets of the outdoor furnishings industry. The current schedule features the invitation-driven ICFA Preview Show on July 14-16 and Casual Market Chicago on September 22-25.
