The International Casual Furnishings Association is kicking off the first day of Casual Market Chicago at theMART with a 2023 Outdoor Fabrics Trends Report that showcases the newest cover designs from eight outdoor fabrics producers.
The hour-long slide show is scheduled on Tuesday, July 19, at 8:00 a.m. on the Grand Stair on the first floor of theMART and is available to all market attendees.
“We want buyers and designers to have the projected color and texture directions for the upcoming season before they begin shopping for new merchandise so that their product displays resonate with customers,” said Jackie Hirschhaut, Executive Director of ICFA.
To create a foundation for the discussion, Jason Walker, the Midwest regional architectural and design representative of Benjamin Moore & Co., will begin the discussion with an overview of home furnishings color directions. Walker will promote October Mist, the 2022 Color of the Year, as well as advance four individual themes including botanical hues, refreshed primary tones, rich shades and luminous pale tints.
Participating fabrics companies include Outdura, Bella Dura Home, Sunbrella, Milliken, Bliss Performance Fabrics – Citel, Inside Out Performance Fabrics, Tempotest Home and Revolution Performance Fabrics.
Coffee and continental breakfast will be available at 7:30 a.m.
