Dallas Market Center and ART, the Creative Home Furnishings Network, announced that the Houston Furniture Bank will receive a Humanitarian Award at the 29th Annual ARTS Awards.
The Houston Furniture Bank, a non-profit organization and provider of home furnishings to individuals and families, is celebrating 25 years of service to the Houston area. In 2017, the organization served more than 1,000 families in regular service and more than 1,800 families after Hurricane Harvey.
“Over the past 25 years, the Houston Furniture Bank has been a force of good for the entire region, helping more than 26,000 families,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Their programs helping children have been especially successful and have ensured that the youngest members of the community live and sleep in comfort. Following the devastation of the recent hurricane, the Houston Furniture Bank went above and beyond to serve up to 70 families a day in order to help rebuild homes in the Houston area. We congratulate their team, we recognize their importance to the community, and we honor the difference they make in the lives of families.”
The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, is the premier international awards program dedicated to home industry excellence and achievement.
