Hooker Furniture and its brands MARQ, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore have announced the winner of the #LiveInColor High Point Market social media contest that gave participants the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece – promoting engagement across each brands’ Facebook page. In just one week, the contest attracted 392 entries and helped increase engagement on Hooker Furniture’s social media platforms by 44 percent as compared to the April High Point Market this year.
“With the ongoing changes Facebook and Instagram are making to their platforms, now more than ever, brands need to focus on creating engaging content that sparks conversations,” said Johne Albanese, Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Hooker Furniture. “We’ve implemented a variety of strategies this year to increase online engagement with retailers, designers and consumers and we’ve found that contests – specifically when promoted during High Point Market – have proven to be successful for us as more users are inclined to share, tag and comment.”
The contest, which highlighted the vast color and customization options from each brand featured a voting system asking consumers, retailers and designers to vote on their favorite piece including a Hooker Furniture Esperanza two-door chest, a MARQ Willow 28 inch round ottoman, a Bradington-Young Well-Rounded tufted ottoman or a Sam Moore Justine swivel chair.
Emily Bradshaw, a consumer from of Houston, TX, was selected as the winner for her comment and vote for the Hooker Furniture Esperanza two-door chest, which also included the contest hashtag, #LiveInColor.
