The Home Furnishings Hall of Fame will hold an event to honor individuals in the Brickworthy program.

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation will celebrate those honored in the Pathways of Honor surrounding the Wanek Family and Ashley Furniture Industries Eternal Flame on Saturday, October 26 at 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 311 S. Hamilton St. Music will be played by an international bag piper dressed in full military regalia.

The Roll Call of 74 individuals and organizations placing engraved bricks will be acknowledged during a brief ceremony at 5:15 pm but the reverential event will last an hour to provide flexibility during busy Market schedules to stop to pay tribute as an “only at the Hall of Fame” moment.

“We have had many calls from donors asking us to create a moment of respect and honor for the brick worthy individuals who now are permanently recognized where the industry comes together,” says Karen McNeill, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors. “The stories we are told have touched the hearts of the team at the Hall of Fame. They range from remembering a loved one or thanking someone to the excitement of building a company together.  Poignantly, one brick remembers a member of the industry who left work one day never to be heard of again.  The donor does not want his contributions to be forgotten.”

“These experiences have reminded us that in the midst of our busy lives, it’s important to stop and remember to pay tribute,” McNeill adds. “The Hall of Fame asks you to spread the word among your industry network of the opportunity to drop by to simply say ‘thank you’ to a family member, friend or coworker.”
