The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) is partnering with High Point by Design (HPxD) to offer a masterclass as part of HPxD’s August shopping event. Scheduled for August 3, the Market Masterclass will offer a half day program focusing on trade resources within the Market district, followed by an evening cocktail hour and networking dinner.
The event is geared towards buyers, namely interior designers and home furnishings retailers, who are unfamiliar with High Point Market or do not attend regularly. The curriculum will focus on deepening one’s knowledge of the Market district and increasing one’s understanding of the business opportunities High Point can offer. A portion of the schedule will include a panel of Market veterans sharing their insights into how High Point has furthered their business growth.
“Our aim is to create a really unique opportunity for those who qualify as buyers but are not fully utilizing High Point Market’s resources for one reason or another,” commented Tom Conley, HPMA’s president and CEO. “This off-Market event will allow attendees to learn some new tips and tricks and become more familiar with the district when their schedule isn’t packed tightly and they can relax, focus, and truly ingest what’s being shared.”
The schedule kicks off at 2:30pm with registration, networking, and introductions, then quickly rolls into several in-depth sessions about High Point Market. Attendees will then be given the choice between a windshield tour of the Market district with HPMA’s COO, Tammy Nagem, or a tour of the Masterclass location, Congdon Yards. The evening will conclude with a cocktail hour sponsored by Woodbridge Furniture followed by a networking dinner at 200 Steele.
HPxD plans to present several other events during their August open dates, and is inviting all Masterclass attendees to shop their members’ showrooms on Wednesday, August 4.
"Following the half-day Masterclass, designers can put their skills to the test the next day and shop some of High Point’s great, year-round showrooms. All HPxD showrooms will be open Wednesday, August 4. Many are also planning special events. Stay tuned for more,” said Cass Key, HPxD vice chairman and creative director for Woodbridge Furniture.
Registration and event details for the Market Masterclass are available online. Tickets are $25 per attendee and a limited number are available.
