The saying that it “takes a village” to accomplish something of note is especially true about the semi-annual High Point Market. The High Point Market Authority appreciates the warm and hospitable effort the High Point community provides to make Market visitors feel welcome every April and October. In appreciation for that local support, The High Point Market Authority recently announced the creation of the High Point Market Community Impact Award and has named 98 Asian Bistro, at 1800 N. Main Street in High Point, as its first recipient.
“Since its inception in 2009, 98 Asian Bistro has worked diligently and tirelessly to make our guests from around the world feel welcome at High Point Market,” stated Tammy Nagem, President/CEO of High Point Market Authority. “They have created lasting relationships with patrons from around the world who are excited to visit 98 Asian Bistro each April and October when they come to our city. We are appreciative of 98 Asian Bistro’s embrace of the Market and its guests, and we are proud to present our inaugural award to this exemplary restaurant.”
The multiple award-winning 98 Asian Bistro is an upscale Asian fusion restaurant owned by Tu and Todd Sen. Its comfortable and welcoming atmosphere is key to both its local and Market visitor popularity. The Bistro takes its visual cues from chic eateries in New York and Las Vegas while maintaining the charm of the south. Their mission is to serve delicious, affordable made to order Thai and other Asian dishes using only fresh ingredients, some of which are grown locally in the High Point area.
As recipient of the High Point Market Community Impact Award, 98 Asian Bistro will receive a custom-designed signature 5-ft.-tall stainless steel HPMKT sculpture to proudly display at their business. The award was distinctively imagined and fabricated by local High Point artist, Justin Stabb, owner of Stabb Designs. Stabb worked with the Market Authority to develop a piece that represents the creative spirit of High Point with the interconnected nature of the city and the world’s most significant home furnishings and decor market that calls High Point Home. The official award presentation will be later this fall.
