Earlier this month, the Home Furnishings Association (HFA) put on a leadership immersion program at Hudson’s Furniture in Sanford, FL. Participants in the Next Generation Now program had the chance to learn firsthand about how the company runs its daily operations.

The Leadership Immersion Experience was created in 2015 and has become one of HFA’s premiere education programs.

“Our Leadership Immersion Experience keeps growing and gaining in popularity,” said HFA CEO Sharron Bradley. “Each event gets glowing reviews and the participants walk away with a greater understanding of everything from operations and marketing to business philosophies and human resources. It’s an invaluable program unlike any other in the industry and the HFA is committed to its growth.”

The immersion hosted by Hudson Furniture this month was the fourth program facilitated by HFA. Aiden Hegg of Klingman’s Furniture in Holland, Michigan enjoyed the opportunity to meet industry peers.

“One of the many highlights would be the tremendous networking opportunity it provided,” Hegg said. “The chance to have lengthy talks with retailers of all sizes on failures and successes was priceless.”

HFA’s Leadership Immersion Experiences are sponsored by next-generation business STORIS, a retail software company.
