Fusion Designs, a company focused on solid wood, domestically produced case goods, is tripling the size of its footprint with a new permanent showroom at the Winter Las Vegas Market in January. At 2,400 square feet, its new space, located on the sixth floor of Building B (Space 670) will enable the manufacturer to display its full array of product. A ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration is set for Sunday, Jan. 28.
According to Marcus Bontrager, President of Fusion Designs, the 2024 Winter Market will mark the first time that buyers will be able to truly experience the full breadth of the popular, fast-growing domestic product line known for its expansive and speedy custom capabilities. “For the first time in Las Vegas, we will really have the ability to make our showroom space our own and we’re planning to make the most of it,” he said. The company will exhibit 16 dining groups, six complete bedroom sets, four living room groups, and two office collections. The company will also showcase its best-selling Essentials collections which can be customized in a choice of 35 hand-wiped finishes and shipped to retailers in just 10 days.

Also, for the first time, the solid-wood provider will display its furniture in vignettes and its bedroom groups, in particular, as they are really meant to be seen. “For years now, due to our space limitations, we’ve had to ‘short rail’ the beds in our showroom. While this allows dealers to get a sense of headboard and footboard styles, it’s never ideal because buyers don’t experience the full visual impact of a new bed,” said Bontrager.
“As we continually expand our portfolio of fresh, modern and contemporary designs aimed at a new generation of consumers, we think it’s very important for buyers to be able to really stand back and get the full effect of what they are seeing, just as their customers would in their stores,” added Bontrager, who serves as the creative force behind many of the company’s best-selling pieces.
Additionally, to inspire both buyers at Market and shoppers in the stores, the company has developed a number of inspirational sales tools for use at retail. A new kiosk that displays samples of all 35 finishes available to customize the bench-made furniture will be shown to dealers for the first time, and one entire 16-foot wall will showcase all of the wood finishes, gallery-style, with large, 12” x 10” color samples. “I’m really excited about the wall display because of the sheer drama of seeing all of our color choices presented. We plan to give dealers the option to replicate it in their stores. The display reinforces our custom story, and the size of the samples gives shoppers great confidence in how a finish they choose will appear on the completed furniture.”
Finally, the executive said, “We’ll be able to entertain our dealers in the showroom in a way we never could before, because our new space includes a kitchen for hospitality. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone and showing the vastness of our true capabilities!”
