Suzusan’s 3-D fabrics — Notable Portables: Table lamps in Frankfurt broke out of the traditional shade+base configuration, debuting in forms that looked more like accessories than lighting. Suzusan’s 3-D fabrics come from a 100-year-old Japanense technique called shibori — its Shizuku fL shades fit small orb lights. www.suzusan.com

Luciferos’ Anteprima — Notable Portables: Luciferos’ Anteprima hosts an LED arabesque lamp with Asfour crystals on a stainless steel base. www.luciferos.it

Venini’s Bloss light — Notable Portables: Venini’s Bloss light, available in Amber and Taupe with a chrome base, is illuminated with a dimmable 9W LED hidden inside. www.venini.com

Light Tech — Light Tech: The technique of 3-D printing, which creates a 3-D solid object from a digital file in an array of materials, has interesting applications in lighting. Purmundus, which only offers 3-D-printed products, created a lamp shade series called SLS that is interchangeable with its LED luminaire base. Shown is Spike, its shape looking like it was plucked out of nature. www.purmundus.de

Licht3’s Xmoove suspension — Light Tech: Licht3’s Xmoove suspension is made by laser sintering, which allows fabrication of a pre-drilled unit complete with working joints and cable conduits in a single operation. Henri Bursztyn’s _e-DEN Collection — Outdoor Fashion: Europe is aboard the “livable outdoor spaces” trend, where outdoor rooms are an extension of a home’s interior. Outdoor lights for Catellani & Smith — Outdoor Fashion: Enzo Catellani designed his first collection of outdoor lights for Catellani & Smith, including Gocce di Luce, which is made of industrial glass shaped by hand and supported by an oxidized copper rod, seeming to emerge from the surrounding landscape. www.catellanismith.com
