Dwell with Dignity has announced the new dates for its largest annual fundraiser, Thrift Studio. Originally planned for April prior to the coronavirus outbreak, the luxury home furnishings pop-up shop will now be held Aug. 28 to Sept. 26 at The International on Turtle Creek, a 12,000-square foot space that is social distancing-friendly. The VIP Preview Party will now take place on two nights, Aug. 27 and 28. All proceeds benefit Dwell with Dignity’s mission to transform lives through design for those struggling with homelessness and poverty.

Thrift Studio showcases luxuriously-furnished vignettes designed by North Texas’ top designers, showrooms and retailers, as well as a curated selection of fine art from prestigious local artists. All of the high-end home decor items and original artwork will be available for shoppers to purchase at dramatic discounts. This year, Shay Geyer of IBB Design serves as the Thrift Studio Honorary Chair, and ALG Collective’s four artists – Anna Curnes, Melissa Ellis, Annie Griffeth, and Christi Meril – serve as Art Co-Chairs.

Thrift Studio’s VIP Preview Party will now be held on two nights. The Wednesday, Aug. 27 event is already sold out, leaving the party on Thursday, Aug. 28, 6 – 8 p.m, in high demand. Tickets are available to purchase at www.thriftstudio.com for $125 each and include drinks, bites, live music and a premiere shopping experience.

Says Dwell with Dignity Executive Director Ashley Sharp, “We are thrilled to finally open our doors to showcase the incredible work of our interior designers and artists while raising necessary funds. Thrift Studio provides one-third of the operating revenue that allows Dwell with Dignity to change lives through design by bringing good design to those who can afford it the least.”

The cast of interior designers to showcase their talent at the 2020 Thrift Studio includes: Cathy Kincaid of Cathy Kincaid Interiors; Leslie Jenkins of Jenkins Interiors; Mia Brous, Kerri Goldfarb, and Louise Marsh of Madre Dallas; Monica Wilcox of Monica Wilcox Design; Morgan Farrow of Morgan Farrow Interiors; Josh Pickering of Pickering House Interiors; Twelve Twenty, and Lindley Whisenant Arthur of Lindley Arthur Interiors.

In addition to the Art Chairs, the 2020 Thrift Studio artists include: Alec DeJesus, Ana Sadeh, Anne Beletic, Brandon Harris, Brenda Bogart, Carolyn Daniel, Charlie French, David L. Henderson, M.D., Ginger Ray Walker, Hannah Brown, Janie Stidham, Jenny Grumbles, Laura Goodson, Linda Chidsey, Lindsey Meyer, Marcy Cook, Melissa Auberty, Mione Plant, Rachel Nash, Ross von Rosenberg, and Taelor Fisher.

Dwell with Dignity will be following and adhering to Center for Disease Control’s coronavirus guidelines regarding the safety of hosting gatherings. Safety measure requirements and protocols will be addressed at www.thriftstudio.com closer to the date.
