Dallas Market Center, the largest open-daily design center in the country, announced details for Taste of Lightovation, a residential lighting event for the interior design community to be held during Dallas Design Week, April 15 to 18, 2019.
On Wednesday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., guests are invited for a complimentary lunch in the Trade Mart grand pavilion followed by an open house of 20 participating showrooms on the Trade Mart third and fourth floors and in the World Trade Center. Guided tours will be available for five showrooms: Eurofase, Hammerton, Progress Lighting, Swarovski and Quoizel.
At 2:45 p.m., a reception in The SMART Center (Trade Mart 4826) will celebrate the debut of the annual issue of Lighting magazine from the American Lighting Association in partnership with Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest Media. During the reception, a drawing will be held for $15,000 in product credit from the five showrooms on the guided tour. Following the reception, the celebration and inspiration continues with hospitality in all participating showrooms through 5:30 p.m.

Participating showrooms include: Eurofase, Hammerton, Progress Lighting, Quoizel, Swarovski, Aero Pure Fans, ARTcraft, Avenue Lighting, Big Ass Fans, Crystorama, CWI Lighting, Dale Tiffany, Eglo, Elegant Lighting, ELK Lighting, Golden Lighting, Hudson Valley Lighting Group (Hudson Valley Lighting, Corbett Lighting, CSL, and Mitzi), Kichler, PLC Lighting, Star Fans, and Troy Lighting.
In addition to Taste of Lightovation, Dallas Design Week will feature a series of events and seminars on the theme of Design Intelligence including Dine + Design on Tuesday, April 16, featuring industry experts Gary Inman and Donna Vining on the topic of Creating Beautiful Designs While Crafting a Successful Business. Later that day, Carson Kressley steps into the spotlight with a keynote address at 3:30 p.m., followed by a meet and greet cocktail hour at 4:30 p.m. outside the Feizy showroom on the first floor of the World Trade Center.
The week continues with Design’s Influence on Health & Pleasure on Wednesday, April 17, hosted by Mike Peterson, former publisher of Country Living and LUXE Interiors + Design magazines. The day concludes with a special appearance from designer Dann Foley in partnership with Cambria Stone. Thursday serves up more star power with award-winner Denise McGaha, plus photography insights from leading design photographer, Stephen Karlisch.
