Currey & Company has announced the appointment of Pamela Bailey to Director of Showrooms, where she will maximize company sales growth and profitability through developing and supporting all showroom efforts.
“Pam brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organization that will help support our showroom initiatives and staff,” says Bob Ulrich, Senior Vice President for the company.
In her new role, she will also assume top- and bottom-line responsibility for showroom operations. She will model, reinforce, and further develop Currey & Company’s sales culture and standards with a particular emphasis on the company’s customer service philosophy and company culture.
Through Bailey’s vast experience with Crate & Barrel, she has come to know the Currey family and business, and has honed the credentials that qualify her for this new role, the company says.
She first met Robert Currey when he became a supplier for Crate & Barrel early in her career as a sales person at the retailer’s first furniture store in Cambridge, MA. She subsequently worked with Brownlee Currey at Crate & Barrel’s Chicago locations.
Bailey also served as a Regional Vice President, with responsibility for all C&B stores, cb2 stores and outlets in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area, prior to a role in product development, where she managed the design program for accent tables and case goods, and again worked with Currey & Company.
For the past two years, since leaving C&B in 2016, Pam has pursued an independent consulting career in product development and design for overseas furniture factories, helping them to create showroom-ready designs, materials and finishes for their customers, as well as launching brands and collections within the U.S. marketplace.
