Tania Bricel of Colour Creations-Progressive Marketing Ltd. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With more than 35 years of experience in the field, Bricel has been the owner, chief executive officer, president, and chief designer of Colour Creations-Progressive Marketing Ltd. since 1998. The company was founded by her father as a furniture marketing and design firm in 1970. When she took charge, she rebranded and transformed the organization into a leading designer in the region, widely renowned for their work in the medium of glass.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a product manager for the Avon Canadian Head Office Skin Care Division from 1985 to 1987, and an assistant marketing manager with the Revlon Cosmetic and Hair Care Divisions Head Office from 1980 to 1985. Bricel began her career at Concordia University, earning a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and international business in 1980. Following her formal education, she joined two different major cosmetic organizations, which influenced her work when she launched her private label brand with lighting products introducing color and glass as her story. She also served as a consultant for interior design in the retail food industry and wrote a proposal for a major advertising company for a major hotel chain.
She learned the importance of branding and design, developing her own logo, which she still uses today in her role as the leader of her design company. As an expert in her field, Bricel is affiliated with a number of organizations, including the IFM and the CSIA. She also maintains involvement with the World Wildlife Fund. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, windsurfing, sailing, hiking and tennis and she's involved with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, having been a former instructor herself.
