Brent Simon, owner of Colorado Style Home Furnishings in Highlands Ranch, CO, won a limited-edition Bradington-Young 40th anniversary recliner during the recent High Point Market.
The leading luxury leather upholstery producer drew Simon’s name on the final day of market after receiving 183 sweepstakes entries from dealers and interior designers.
“There was a lot [of] excitement at market around our 40th anniversary and the impact our brand has had on the industry,” said Craig Young, President of Bradington-Young. “Our anniversary recliner was one of many successful product launches giving us tremendous momentum heading into 2019 and this was a fun way to engage with our customers.”
The anniversary recliner, which is named Jetson, is covered in ruby-red leather, symbolic of a traditional 40th anniversary gift. It also is noted for its sleek arms, low profile seat and tall wood legs commonly found on fashionable stationary upholstery. During market, it was positioned at the entrance to Bradington-Young’s showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center to draw attention to the company milestone.
Bradington-Young began operations 40 years ago in a shuttered textile plant in Cherryville, NC, where it still operates its cut-and-sew cover plant. The company’s main production facility and corporate headquarters are now in Hickory, NC. Bradington-Young recently began work on a 75,000-square-foot expansion of its Hickory factory, which will boost production capacity by about 50 percent and increase the size of the plant to 160,000 square feet.
