Carol Benson-Cobb, Dallas-based abstract artist has joined the list of permanent residents at Dallas Market Center’s revamped Interior Home + Design Center at 2000 Stemmons Freeway.
The showroom in Suite 1D407 features all of her artwork options including original works, mixed medias and reproductions. It also showcases her collections of archival textiles, hand-torn limited editions, matted prints under glass, linen fabric by the yard and wallcoverings or murals.
“I am excited to grow our daily business in our own backyard,” says Benson-Cobb. “We have spent the past five years building a brand nationally, so getting back to my project-based roots feels long overdue... The new showroom will allow me to focus on daily custom projects.”
Born and raised in North Texas and painting since childhood, Benson-Cobb’s art and business evolved as she learned the art of printing and manufacturing. Purchasing her first giclée printer in 2008 advanced not only her creative processes but scaled her art in a viable wholesale business. She launched Benson-Cobb Studios in 2012, taking her first reproduction collection to market.
Since the founding of Benson-Cobb, she and her artwork have garnered attention from coast to coast, from luxury retailers to celebrities to prominent designers. Her work is featured in national magazines, and in both television and motion pictures. Brand partnerships with Neiman Marcus and One Kings Lane continue to thrive. Benson-Cobb has licensed collections with manufacturer John-Richard for lamps and furniture, Creative Touch for rugs and decorative pillows and coming this fall, patterned wallpaper with York Wallcoverings.
The art house and manufacturing studio on Farrington Street will remain in the Dallas Design District. Visits to this location are by-appointment only.
