WithIt, the women's leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, announced today that Ben and Erin Napier, the woodworker and designer duo of HGTV’s "Home Town" will speak at the organization's biannual High Point Market Education Breakfast.
Sponsored by Myriad Software and in partnership with Vaughan-Bassett Furniture, the event is set for Sunday, Oct. 14 from 7:30-9 a.m. in the IHFC ballroom.
The conversation will be moderated by Cindy Hodnett, Director of Public Relations & Communications for International Market Centers.
Erin and Ben Napier live and restore homes in the small town of Laurel, MS. Their passion for small-town revitalization and American craftsmanship is evident in their store, Laurel Mercantile Co., where they design and manufacture heirloom wares and durable goods made exclusively in the United States. They recently partnered with Vaughan-Bassett Furniture to create furniture collections debuting this fall October 2018 market.
Erin, an artist who started her career in corporate graphic design, and Ben, a woodworker with a degree in history, embrace a passion for renovating historic homes. Together as entrepreneurs and artists they use their talents and skills to support their community and inspire others to support the local movement and re-investment in their home town.
“We are looking forward to bringing the Napiers to our breakfast attendees,” says Reyna Moore, WithIt's VP of Education and VP of Merchandising & Marketing for Thomasville & Co. “Their design talent and personal values are a compelling marriage. Their story and conversation is sure to inspire the room.”
The ticketed event is open to WithIt members and to High Point Market attendees. Ticket prices are $25 for members and $35 for guests and includes a hot breakfast buffet and networking. Seats are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis at www.withit.org.
