Asian Loft, a family-owned leader in hand-selected antiques, furniture and décor, is opening its new 30,000-square-foot showroom at 625 W. Ward Ave., Suite 100, in downtown High Point in time for the fall High Point Market.
The iconic building, previously home to Henredon and Tommy Hilfiger, now houses Asian Loft’s new space, nearly doubling the size of its previous location on Main Street. Grand opening festivities are slated for Thurs., Oct. 24, and open to all market attendees.
In addition to the new showroom, the building is also home to Asian Loft’s 20,000-square-foot warehouse, providing buyers unprecedented access to their handcrafted, curated inventory, according to a news release.
The move marks a milestone in the company’s nearly 25-year history, as it continues to serve high-end home furnishings retailers, boutique design establishments, interior design professionals and architectural firms.
The expansion provides buyers the opportunity to review and select unique pieces with immediate delivery options, company officials said. Clients can also shop Asian Loft’s showroom year-round in addition to High Point Market.
“We’ve always been committed to offering distinctive, original works from around the world and now we have the space to present them in a way that’s as special as the pieces themselves,” said Steven Sonneville, Owner, Asian Loft. “We can showcase the craftsmanship of our collections from India, Indonesia, Morocco, Japan and China on an unprecedented scale.”
Sonneville also noted the improvements made to the space: “The process of working through how our space can accommodate an ever-changing array of products, both large and small, required a lot of adaptability in showroom design. We've revamped everything from how guests enter the showroom to how they interact with the vignettes.”
From updated lighting to onsite parking, no consideration has been left untouched in the company’s quest to provide an exceptional customer experience, he said.
Asian Loft will welcome buyers to visit their new showroom from Tues., Oct. 22 to Wed., Oct. 30. The showroom will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with lunch served every day during market.
A door-to-door shuttle service will transport attendees between the showroom and the market Transportation Terminal. Onsite covered parking and valet service are also available.
In celebration of this expansion, Asian Loft will host a grand opening event on Thurs., Oct. 24, at 4 p.m.
