Dallas Market Center and ART announced updates to the judging process for the ARTS Awards, the premier international awards program dedicated to home industry excellence and achievement in retailing, manufacturing, design, and sales representation.
The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, celebrate leaders and innovators across the industry. Updates beginning with the 30th anniversary edition of the awards include a streamlined and simpler submission process via a new online platform that is expected to be easier for all finalists and that will save them time. The submissions will be a combination question-and-answer format with more visual examples and will ensure that all companies, regardless of size, have the same format and style of presentation thus creating the fairest possible competition.
“The new requirements will be presented in a character-limited narrative with supporting images as a separate upload, thereby eliminating the graphic design competition and allowing for companies to present their information to the judges in a level playing field,” said Sharon Davis, Executive Director of ART.
“We believe this new process will save the finalists time and will encourage participation by companies at all levels,” said Dallas Market Center President and CEO Cindy Morris. “This new process will furthermore help the judges evaluate each submission quickly and without the distraction of the heavily designed pages previously required.”
