ArchLIGHT Summit, a lighting trade event and educational platform for the architectural, specification and design communities, has opened a call for speakers and exhibitor registration. The fourth annual event, taking place Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18, 2024, will welcome lighting designers, architects, interior designers, specifiers, and students to experience new products, network, and attend a wide range of accredited seminars, panels, and interactive experiences.
“Participating in ArchLIGHT Summit has been great,” said Jered Widmer, principal of the Dallas office of The Lighting Practice. “Not only does it give me and my design team access to some great content from nationally recognized speakers, but we’re also able to see and touch product from a range of great manufacturers.”
Speakers are invited to submit proposals consistent with the show’s mission to be boldly different and actively inclusive. The most sought-after sessions will be those that break the mold of traditional presentations in favor of more experiential learning and honest, collaborative discussions. We are looking for sessions to discuss the latest and greatest in the industry, covering topics such as innovative technology, design practices, business acumen and more. To submit a proposal, visit www.ArchLIGHTSummit.com/speak.
For exhibitors, the show will present the opportunity to reach some of the industry’s most influential architectural, specification and design communities seeking commercial lighting brands that represent the leading edge of innovation and technology. The expo portion of ArchLIGHT Summit on the first floor of the Trade Mart will feature exhibitors representing all facets of the commercial lighting spectrum. Custom sponsorship and marketing packages are also available to increase visibility, with complete information available at www.ArchLIGHTSummit.com and exhibitor registration at www.ArchLIGHTSummit.com/exhibit.
The popular Light Bites stage on the show floor that launched at the 2023 ArchLIGHT Summit will be repeated in 2024, facilitating more informal sessions that encourage audience engagement.
“Having an event like ArchLIGHT Summit in the South region has been a great way to get quality exhibitors and educational content to a previously under-served design community,” said Jill Klores, partner at Essential Light Design Studio. “We can’t all travel to the East or West coast, and this has been a breath of fresh air to get local visibility for the lighting industry.”
To further promote the educational initiative of this event, several ArchLIGHT Summit sessions are live streamed for students and remote educational institutions, such as Parsons The New School, as well as an entire student program created for local universities to participate in support of the next generation and emerging professionals. Recorded sessions from past events are archived on the Illuminating Engineering Society’s eLearning Portal: https://elearning.ies.org/archlightsummit
