Discounted early bird entries are being accepted through March 31 for the fourth annual ANDYZ design awards program created in partnership between the Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) and the California Central/Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
The ANDYZ awards, which recognize and celebrate noteworthy projects by interior designers, architects and design students in 11 interior design categories — including two new awards for Best Residential Bathroom Design and Best Residential Outdoor Space Design — will be presented during the summer 2018 Las Vegas Market (date and time TBD.) The deadline for regular submissions is Monday, April 30.
“Las Vegas Market is the Western interior design community’s leading shopping and sourcing venue for unique, high-quality and fashionable furnishings and accessories and attendance by interior designers continues to increase – both during the semi-annual Markets and throughout the year,” said Lee Hershberg, Vice President of Home Decor & Las Vegas Design Center, International Market Centers. “This is an exciting opportunity for Las Vegas Market once again to partner with ASID in recognizing and celebrating the most outstanding residential, commercial and hospitality interiors with the ANDYZ awards.”
The ANDYZ Awards, named to bear the resemblance of “Annual Nevada Design,” were created in 2015 to recognize exceptional design from designers and design firms. Interior design projects in residential, commercial and hospitality categories will be judged by an esteemed panel of professional ASID designers, based upon five main criteria: presentation; innovation/creative use of space; scale and functionality; aesthetics and overall execution.
Categories include: Best Student Design Student Project, for students enrolled in 2018; Best Custom Furnishings/Product Design, not including a manufacturer’s product; Best Residential Kitchen Design; Best Residential Bathroom Design; Best Residential Outdoor Space Design; Best Individual Residential Space Design, such as a bedroom, media room, living room, laundry room or garage, not including a kitchen bathroom or outdoor space; Best Multiple Residential Space Design, within the same residence; Best Individual Commercial Space Design; Best Multiple Commercial Space Design, within the same commercial property; Best Hospitality Space Design; and Best Showroom Design.
Early bird entry fees for entries received by March 31, 2018 are $100 for the first entry and $75 for each additional entry; early bird student fees are $25 per entry. Fees for entries received after March 31 are $125 for the first entry and $100 for each additional entry; student fees are $35 per entry. All entries must be received by April 30. The ANDYZ Awards are open to all design firms, independent designers and students. All entries must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2016.
