Dallas Market Center and Lighting & Decor magazine announced the winners of the ninth annual Showroom of the Year Awards during Lightovation: Dallas International Lighting Show, June 20-23. The announcement was made during a special evening reception on June 20, the show’s opening day at Dallas Market Center. The program honors top lighting retailers throughout North America.

One Showroom of the Year was named in each of three dollar-volume categories: annual Revenue Under $2 Million, Revenue Under $5 Million, and Revenue $5 Million and Over. All Showroom of the Year finalists were also eligible for three specialty awards: Outstanding Merchandising Display, Exceptional Community Involvement, and Social Media Star.

“It was wonderful to honor such outstanding showrooms and all they’ve accomplished,” said Nicole Davis, Editor-in-Chief of Lighting & Decor, who presented the awards along with Managing Editor Alison Martin, Dallas Market Center President and CEO Cindy Morris, and Vice President of Lighting Technology Development & Marketing Laura Van Zeyl.

“These companies represent the best of the retail best,” said Morris. “We congratulate them upon their achievement and we recognize that they are an inspiration to showrooms across North America.”

A range of design, retail and industry experts judged and selected the 2018 finalists and winners. This year’s judges were Stacy Garcia, a renowned designer, and the founder of a textile supplier company and design house with many successful lifestyle brands; Greg O’Neal, CCO/Co-Founder of CUR8, a curator, designer and licensor of products for the home furnishings industry for 25+ years; and Richard Sexton, Chief Product Officer for MicroD, a product presentation, websites and ecommerce company for the home furnishings industry with more than 20 years of experience in retail and technology.

The 2018 Showroom of the Year winners are:

Revenue Under $2 Million: Village Home Stores, Geneseo, IL
Revenue Under $5 Million: Pace Lighting, Savannah, GA
Revenue $5 Million and Over: Design Lighting, Surrey, BC
