The 2024 Showroom of the Year Finalists have been announced!

Dallas Market Center and Furniture, Lighting & Decor magazine have announced the 2024 Showroom of the Year Awards Finalists. Celebrating its 15th year, this annual awards event honors top lighting retailers from throughout North America.

Retailers are judged on a number of criteria, including merchandising display, marketing and advertising, customer service and engagement, employee education and motivation, and community involvement. Finalists are named in three-dollar volume categories, with a winning Showroom of the Year in each category. All finalists are also eligible for three specialty awards: Outstanding Merchandising Display, Exceptional Community Involvement and a partially crowd-sourced honor of Social Media Star.

All winners will be announced in a special ceremony during the June 19-22 Lightovation show in Dallas. This event is open to all Lightovation participants with no additional reservations or tickets required. It will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, June 19, in the Trade Mart fourth floor elevator lobby.

“Dallas Market Center is proud to be hosting the Showroom of the Year Awards for the 15th time,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “These exemplary retailers elevate the entire industry along with their respective communities.”

All finalists will be profiled in the May issue of Furniture, Lighting & Decor magazine.

“It is always inspiring to celebrate retailers who continue to innovate to deliver the best for their customers,” says Diane Falvey, Editor-in-Chief of Furniture, Lighting & Decor. “It has also been exciting to watch some past finalists move up the ranks in the dollar-volume categories, a marker of their business success.”

Again this year, the lighting industry at large will have a say in determining the Social Media Star winner. Half of the scoring for that category will be determined by “likes” posted to finalist profiles within the Showroom of the Year Social Media Star Event on Furniture, Lighting & Decor’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/furniturelightingdecor), starting May 2 and continuing through May 12. Official judges’ scores complete the remaining 50 percent of scoring for that category.

Judging this year’s competition is an esteemed panel of industry professionals: Jeffrey Dross, Principal of Lighting by Jeffrey; John McClain, Associate ASID, NKBA, Creative Director/CEO of John McClain Design; and Crystal Vilkaitis, CEO of Crystal Media.
